Each fall, band members are introduced to the fundamentals of marching band through participation in the Varina Blue Devil Marching Band. The effect is stunning as the Blue Devils take the field to present the halftime show.
The Marching Band concludes its brief but exciting season with a concert to revisit musical highlights from the marching band season in a spectacular indoor concert.
At the heart of the blue devils is its drumline. During the afternoons of the marching season, the hardworking members of the drumline can frequently be found in the band room learning cadences and preparing for the marching show. Members of the drumline also use their musical expertise to provide an atmosphere of excitement at the basketball games after football season ends. |
